The csapi project

The csapi project features four subprojects about Telelogic Change, a professional change management system:

• A set of scripts for administration and usage of the tool.
• csapi core, a Proof of Concept Java API for Change. It is composed of a set of core classes which allow basic operations on the server by requesting the server side of the Perl API furnished by Telelogic.
• These classes come bundled in an Eclipse plugin for convenient use. Features of the csplugin currently only include login and reports.
• This site is also the home of the (old) Short Introduction to Synergy/Change Administration document, which has a few notes about Change 4.3.

Scripts, Core CSAPI and CS Plugin projects are free software, under the terms of the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL). Check what it means on the Free Software Foundation site. The CS Admin guide is published under the Creative Commons BY-NC-SA.

Important note: the csapi project is NOT affiliated to Telelogic. Developement has been fully made on personal free time of developers, and any enquiry about the csapi project must be sent to boris |at| chrysalice |dot| org.

Quick install

If you want to try the Eclipse plugin, just add as remote site http://csapi.berlios.de/updates and install both csapicoreplugin and csapiplugin.

• 01.11.2008 The scripts have been updated. Check the new scripts section.
• 22.01.2006 Release 1.1 of the cs_admin document. Major corrections (mostly grammar), integration of readers feedback.
• 02.01.2006 Release 0.2.1 has been published. Minor bug fixes (#005940, #005935), new report history view.
• 22.10.2005 The csapi project team is proud to announce first releases of csapicore and csplugin. Check it out on the release page, or through the update manager. All feedback welcome in the forums.
• 10.10.2005 A new doc has been introduced in the docmanager: Exploring the Perl API protocol.
• 25.08.2005 The csapicore and csplugin Eclipse plugins have been introduced in CVS. You can check it out in the CVS page.
• 11.08.2005 The Short Introduction to Change/Synergy Administration has been released. Check it on the download page.
• 01.08.2005 BerliOS developer has kindly accepted to host development of the csapi project. These guys do a great job for the free software community. Hey, what a great world (almost).
